Synopsis:

Mr. Patrick (Paddy Mason) sailed from Dunmore East, Co. Waterford, on 17th September 2009 with the intention of working his crab pots on the Co. Wexford side of Waterford Harbour.  When his boat was seen to manoeuvre erratically the alarm was raised.  Mr. Mason's remains were subsequently recovered from the water after a short search.

 

Mr. Paddy Mason drowned as a result of being dragged overboard when his boot was caught in a bight of rope while shooting his second string of pots.
