Synopsis
The “Moon River” (Pleasure Cruiser) departed from the Quay at Carrick-On- Shannon at 00:30hrs on the 18th December 2005. On board were 61 passengers and 7 crewmembers. At 00:55hours on the 18th December 2005 a male passenger was reported overboard. Man overboard procedures were immediately implemented. Initial and subsequent searches for the man on the 18th December 2005 were not successful. The body of a twenty-year-old man was recovered from Lough Corry at 14:20 hours on the 19th December 2005.
