Synopsis
On Sunday 30th May 2010, at approximately 12.00 hrs., Mr. Padraig O'Cualian left Doire Fhearta Mór, Carraroe, Co. Galway in his 18ft. timber, outboard engine powered currach to go fishing for mackerel in Greatman's Bay. Sometime later, he was heading north up the bay past Calladh Thaigue, Carraroe when he fell overboard. His empty boat was spotted from ashore. His brother, Mr. Seamus O'Cualain, and others put to sea to search for him and he was later found floating in the water. All times quoted as local time.
